What does a Zip32.dll associated error and how does someone protect against these kinds of messages?

Hi Sue, welcome to the forum.

Just before we begin with your fix, make sure you go through this article carefully.

It’s Crucial you don’t dismiss any one of these stages and carry out each phase in the sequence shown in this article.

Make sure that you execute each stage until given an ok by me, even if your problems seem to have disappeared. The absence of any signs or symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean the problem has disappeared.

Make sure you adhere to these instructions exactly and do not attempt to fix this with out my direction, nor should you operate any similar scanning programs unless requested by me or another administrator from this specific website.

1. Download Reimage from the following link:

-> Reimage Download Link

(Click on the link above and you will then see a screen appear like the box below. Next you can just click ‘Run’ or you can save it and double click it from your desktop computer.)

2. Once Reimage has opened it will initiate a diagnostic scan . (You will observe a window very similar to the screen shot directly below )

3. As soon as the diagnostic scan is finished, simply click Repair (The restoration can take a short time, simply let it do it’s job.)

4. As soon as the fix is finished, restart your machine etc. (See beneath.)

thanks, ran Reimage and restarted my machine. The biggest symptoms have stopped but I still have an periodic problem with Zip32.dll?

That’s alright. We will need to use a second program before the repair is completed.

Caution – only use this application after you’ve conducted a total scan and repair with Reimage just above.

1. Download Driver Detective from the link below and save it to your PC.

Download Driver Detective Link

2. Install and run Driver Detective. It should ask if you want to scan your machine, click on the ‘Scan’ button in the software. As soon as it’s done, it should display the results of the diagnostic scan; click ‘Next’ and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the restoration. More descriptive tutorials are on hand here.

3. Once the application has finished, it is advisable to restart your machine.

Remember to post here with your final results!

Given that your system is nice and clean, to help you protect your machine from now on I would suggest you consider the following applications:

Microsoft Windows Update
This will guarantee your computer always has the most up to date Windows updates. If there are new revisions to install, install them straight away, reboot your machine, and revisit the website until there aren’t any more important upgrades.

Spyware Doctor – to help protect against viruses, spy ware and adware from appearing. Install Spyware Doctor.
